Welcome to the New Star Children’s Theatre!
Based out of Westboro United Church in Ottawa, Ontario, New Star offers a unique program of musical theatre for children ages seven to fifteen. Ours is a place where children can be themselves and are accepted by everyone. Every child gets a part in every production, which means that every child is a star!
The program consists of Two Main Programs per year and Three Performing Arts Camps each summer.
All of our programs include the following:
- Singing
- Acting
- Dancing

Location and schedule
The New Star Children’s Theatre is based out of Westboro United Church at 450 Churchill Ave. North, at the corner of Ravenhill Avenue in the heart of Westboro. (Please click here for a map of our location.)

Rehearsals are held twice weekly, on Sundays from 1:00PM to 5:00PM and Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays from 6:30PM to 8:30PM. Please note that these hours increase as showtime approaches, changing to 1 PM to 6PM on Sundays and 6PM to 9PM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
The summer rehearsals for July and August are Tues. & Wed 6:00-9:00pm There are no Sunday rehearsals until after Labour Day.
