It is time to consider Summer programs once again as before we know it the snow will have melted and the kids will be looking forward to holidays. Mums and Dads will be trying to find something exciting in Summer Camps.
New Star has Three Exciting Camps this Summer for Kids 8-15 yrs of age.
July 23-27, Aug.6-10, Aug.20-24
The weeks of July 23rd and Aug.6th will be original musicals that will delight all the kids of all ages, and the week of Aug.20th will be our very popular “Broadway in Concert” when the kids have the opportunity to experince a wide variety of music from a variety of Musicals. There will be a show at the end of each week for friends and families at 12 noon.
Every child gets a part and no experience is necessary. Musical Theatre in one week is an amazing experience and offers a glimpse into the possibilities for every child in dance, song and drama.
The camp runs from 9:00am-4:00pm and beforecare & aftercare is 8:30am & 5:00pm
The cost per week is $230 which includes before & aftercare.
All our camps are at Westboro United Church 450 Churchill Ave. N. the corner of Ravenhill, two blocks N.of Richmond Rd.
At New Star every child is important to us. We want every child to have the very best week they could have and experience the joy of Musical Theatre!

Our Holiday Gala was a tremendous succcess ….many said….”the best yet!” All 36 kids took part in solos and duets, and in wonderful choral arrangements. They had 5 weeks to learn all the material under the guidance and teaching of our director, Melanie Walker. The music ranged from Wicked, Anno Domino, West Side Story, The Colour Purple, Chanukah Candles and Grownup list….two hours of talented kids ages 8-16. Wonderful!!!

Broadway and Christmas and Hanukah.

New Star Children’s Theatre is pleased to announce that “Fiddler on the Roof” will be the musical for our fall program.
The Auditions and all rehearsals are held at Westboro United Church
450 Churchill Ave. N. cor. of Ravenhill, the Ravenhill entrance.
Auditions will be held on Saturday, October 29, beginning at 9:45am. Please note that your child’s audition must be scheduled with us – please call Carole-Ann at (613) 523-3264 to book your slot!
Auditions take approximately one hour and are held to determine what role each child will have. Every child is accepted into our program after completing their audition.
Our “Fiddler on the Roof” theatre program will begin rehearsals on Sunday October 30th in our usual 1pm to 5pm time slot. The production itself will be on April 21st, 2012.
The cost of this fall’s program is $670, plus $30 for costume care and $28 for the New Star T-shirt. These fees can be paid monthly.
Registration and all fees must be in by Oct.30th. (Postdated cheques included)

Oliver is a musical based on the classic Charles Dicken’s tale. This show is suited for ages 7 – 16 and all children are accepted into the programme
